So apparently a two-month break was in order.
Obviously I totally fell off the blogging bandwagon for awhile there. It was sort of completely unexpected, but I just had nothing for the past two months. I didn't feel like blogging, and I figure if I don't feel like it, why should I?
But now that I've moved to Las Cruces and started life at a new school, I want to share that with my family and friends back home.
I'm taking astronomy, college algebra, intro to special ed, and communications. So far I love all of them, except for communications, which seems like a huge waste of time. Otherwise, I feel like I'm learning a lot so far and will continue to enjoy my classes.
My first week here was spent primarily getting settled in, finding where my classes were, etc. I also went to several get to know you things and a welcome thing at the College of Education. I really enjoyed the one at the College of Education because I met a lot of great people in my own field of study. I was also able to meet the director of the Special Education department.
I went home the weekend after my first week because it was my 20th birthday! I had a great time with my family, and now I'm back for who knows how long.
I've gone to two Bible studies so far this week. I loved the first one; both the music and the teaching were awesome. The second one I didn't really like at all, but I think I'll go at least one more time to see if maybe I missed something. I'm looking forward to going to a new church this Sunday, and hope I can find a good one easily enough.
I thought I'd share a few pics of my dorm room! I obviously took a lot of time cleaning up and preparing for these pictures, but try not to be too impressed. ;)
Overall, I'm very happy with where I'm at here at NMSU so far. God has blessed me far more than I expected.

So excited for you {& proud of you (I think I've got a lot of Mother Hen in me for girls in college - go figure)}! Love what you've done with your dorm! Praying that you'll continue to have a blessed year - I know it can be both exciting & a little overwhelming {mixed with a dash of homesickness} for a while in school. Did I mention I was proud of you?
Love,
