Everyday's Thanksgiving, Part #41



I'm thankful for:

0801. encouragement--through sermons, books, people, etc.

0802. being able to go to Gravity Park tonight--we had so much fun!

0803. vitamins

0804. a nice, relaxing Christmas break.  It seemed way too fast, but I'm excited to start up with my classes again on Monday.

0805. new year's resolutions that I feel are actually achievable, and not overwhelming.

0806. staying in contact with people from Glorieta.

0807. piano covers

0808. that I don't actually have to take an 8:30 AM class next semester.  I really messed up with my schedule so I have to take a night class now, but at least I don't have to wake up really early!

0809. that the Lord never allows me to be broke "without hope". :)

0811. Chloe's seventh birthday on Saturday!  I cannot believe she is so big.

0812. looking forward to doing a prelude on Sunday.  Let's hope it turns out well...I always seem to suffer grievous mishaps when I play guitar or sing in front of people.

0814. my first college science class this semester.  I think I'm going to be getting through it only by the grace of God.

0815. being able to spend parts of both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve with my church family

0816. a mission Sunday this week--I'm so excited to hear about what everyone has been doing through missions in my church!

0817. finally having 1 Corinthians 1 memorized, and moving on to chapter 2!

Everyday's Thanksgiving, Part #40


I'm thankful for:

0781. seven great weeks of Fuge

0782. Regeneration next week!  I've been looking forward to this all summer; plus, the youth group from my church is coming, along with Ellie!

0783. "Jesus Paid It All"

0784. my natural hair color.  A bunch of people had a "group dye" party yesterday, and for some of them, it didn't turn out so well.  I'm so grateful I've never dyed my hair!

0785. only two more weeks till I'm done with my first education class!

0786. being able to spend 11 weeks with the people here

0787. a bunch of different cultures and ethnicities all coming together here; it's really showed me what the Body of Christ is like as it spans countries, races, and peoples

0788. a good, well paying job

0789. a car!!!!  Only by the grace of God.

0790. getting mail

0791. music majors

0792. computer plugs that work.  I've been having such horrendous problems with mine, but I'm getting a new one tomorrow!  Yay!

0793. a wedding to go to on Sunday!  Congratulations, Hope and Matt!

0795. fast Internet.  You never know what you had at home till you're away from it for 11 weeks.  I think I just waited half an hour so I could fully listen to one song on youtube.

I'm thankful for:

0761. almost being done with my first full week of work.  I never worked fulltime at McDonalds, but after tomorrow I'll be done with my first week working fulltime!

0762. getting paid today!

0765. spending time with new friends

0768. getting to go to one of the Fuge worship sessions last night.  The music was awesome, and the speaker was pretty good too!

I'm thankful for:

0702. learning about God's goodness in the ladies' Bible study.  I'm going to try and do a post similar to this one about it.

0704. actually making friends in my classes this semester, especially my history class.  It's nice to actually talk to people from week to week, not just one time only!

0705. all the snow's melted!

0706. "Flower, Flower" by The Vespers.  I got a free download of this band's music this week, and I love it!  My favorite song by them is actually "Better Now", but I couldn't find a good video of it.

0707. getting a tip today at work from a kind lady I know from Bible club!

0710. remembering art techniques from last semester, like atmospheric perspective.  It's where, as you look farther back into the picture or painting, it gets lighter and bluer.

I'm thankful for:

0661. my own cell phone!  I love my phone, even if I don't often have opportunity to use it.  I hardly ever have to charge it, either; it's been at two bars for about three days now.

0663. and how she talks about Daddy's sermons.  It's amazing how much she remembers.

0664. this music video.  I love the creativity of this band, Walk Off the Earth.

I'm thankful for:

Everyday's Thanksgiving, Part #26




I'm thankful for:

0503. forgiveness, though I am the one who could overtake Paul in 1 Timothy 1:15

0504. being able to study Japanese art; it's actually really cool, and tons better than that of India or China

0505. Southwest Pieta by Luis Jimenez.  I have to go see this sculpture here in ABQ and write an analysis paper about it, but there is so much about it I won't be at a loss, which is awesome!

0506. being able to teach in Bible club on Wednesday!  I haven't been there in almost seven months, so I'm really excited!
